James Lynch is the Engineering Director with Design Partners where he leads a team of Mechanical, Electronic and Sustainability engineers and protoypers.
With over 15 years of consultancy experience working with companies such as Dell, Cricut, Carlsberg, Samsung, Logitech, Huawei, and Honeywell, James is a motivated leader, bringing teams together to push the boundaries of what’s possible. With a proactive and can-do spirit, James has a passion building bridges between engineering, design and manufacturing, turning complex, ambiguous ideas into the worlds next generation products.
Gabriele completed his Masters in Civil Engineering at the University of Trento (Italy) and now heads the technical department at Faraone S.r.l., the leading company in Italy for design of glass structures.
After my graduation till now I have constantly worked in the Civil Engineering field, design and R&D.
My current job at Faraone S.r.l. gives me the opportunity to study and work with non-common materials such as structural safety glass and aluminum. I have a high level of experience with both CAD and F.E.M. programs and carried out projects on residential/public buildings in structural glass.
My tasks are consultations, projects and structural design of façades, stairs, railings and canopies of structural glass, steel and aluminum. Feasibility study of special projects and R&D of new products. Supervision in load tests and inspections on structures.
Technical dept. lead, responsible for the design of wire rope/cable and umbilical drums and ancillaries suitable for factory/process/offshore and installation environments. Also point of contact for technical sales and project management, understanding customer requirements to provide an efficient solution. Using up to date methods to evolve the design process enabling reduced cost base.
As Technical Manager, Teddy has dedicated significant resources into evolving the design process within Pentre Offshore Engineering, providing a more efficient solution to customer requirements.
Shawn Wasserman is passionate about informing, inspiring and engaging the engineering community. As a Senior Editor at engineering.com, he writes about simulation, IoT, PLM and other bleeding edge technologies. Shawn has spent a total of six years at engineering.com and two years as the manager of the Ansys blog. He has a Masters in Bioengineering from the University of Guelph and an undergrad in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
